Project Support Officer (Construction)

Opportunity for a Project Support Officer to work with one of Northern Ireland’s largest Public Bodies where you will play a key role supporting the Project Management, construction delivery and operational readiness planning for a landmark project in Belfast and the management of supplementary contract/projects.

As the successful Project Support Officer your new role will also include but not be limited to the following:

• Assist project/operational teams in delivery of project/programme implementation.
• Pro-actively track the deliverables against budget cost schedule, project plan and quality plan.
• Monitor and report upon spend in variety of detail requested.
• Schedule and co-ordinate meetings and appointments, workshops, consultation, and engagement events.
• Compile team and associated working group documentation including agendas and minute taking.
• Work closely with the relevant teams to ensure close collaboration.
• Ensure ongoing compliance by ensuring a full audit trail is kept of decisions made with files promptly registered, updated, and closed.
• Manage and maintain risk and action registers.
• Attend marketing and public engagement events as required.
• Liaise with Marketing department to progress project artwork and publicity materials
• Scope training requirements, compile content, authorize supporting manuals and undertake relevant follow up meetings
• Handle requests for information and data, and prepare written responses to enquiries, for example, cashflow updates for the Department of Infrastructure
• Support communication and correspondence with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure appropriate consideration is given to the organizations equality duties as well as specific commitments associated with your job role

To be considered for this Project Support Officer role you will have:

• A minimum of 1 years’ experience in successfully administering construction projects
• Minimum of HNC qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject
• EXperience in report writing, office applications such as Word and Excel
• Possess a good understanding of information-based legislation e.g., Data Protection
• Awareness of the monitoring and control of allocated resources, associated revenue costs and all capital costs against a project budget
• Experience of project planning, management and control processes and methodologies
