Senior Resident Engineer (Water/WTP) – Mayo (Ballina, Castlebar)

As Senior Resident Engineer you will supervise the construction phase of a Water Treatment Plant Upgrade and associated Trunkmains in Castlebar and Ballina.  This project will enhance the water supply within the area, replacing ageing infrastructure and increasing storage facilities, and overall water reliability for Mayo and South Sligo.

You will play a key role in the delivery of upgrade works to one of the largest water treatment plants in Ireland, collaborate closely with Uisce Eireann, Contractors and Design Teams to ensure the projects objectives are delivered safely, efficiently and in compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements.

As Senior Resident Engineer, you will play a vital role in the Site Supervision and Client Coordination liaison.  If you have worked on similar civil engineering water or wastewater schemes projects, and would like to hear more about the current project and other similar roles provincewide, please apply or get in touch.

To be considered for the role you will have:

• Previous experience on water network upgrades, with at least 10 years’ industry experience in a similar site engineering or supervision capacity.
• Third level qualification in a related discipline, such as Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Strong health and safety awareness related to major civil engineering projects.
• Strong technical knowledge and ability to understand design and any changes that may be necessary.
• Support planning and coordination of shutdowns, outages, tie-ins, commissioning and operational readiness activities required for project delivery.
• Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement of operational interface management practices across capital programmes.

You will also have excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to act within a team at all times.
