Civil Resident Engineer – Water / Wastewater Projects – Multiple roles and grades

Location: Nationwide, Ireland – Currently roles in Cork, Kildare, Galway, Limerick, Clare, South Dublin, Louth, Tipperary, Waterford, Wexford, Mayo (Ongoing requirements)

As Civil Resident Engineer – Water / Wastewater you will provide supervision and management on a programme of work to deliver new and upgrade water / wastewater network improvements in the above areas.

Due to ongoing contract awards, this Global Engineering Consultancy firm have a requirement for a Resident Engineer to work on water / wastewater projects nationwide. You should be able to demonstrate previous experience in either the design or construction on water / wastewater projects to include: WWTW, WWTP, WTP, watermain upgrades, rehabilitation, leakage repair etc.

As Resident Engineer – Water you will be responsible for the following:

• Working alongside Regional Contractors to ensure projects are delivered in compliance with the Contract and legislation.
• Liaising with Local Authorities in delivering projects.
• Carrying out HSQE audits and managing HSQE issues.
• Processing work orders.
• Service Request Approval.
• Updating trackers.
• Reviewing and approval of as laid drawings.
• Working with IW Design Engineers to help provide any clarity to deliver the project.
• Deal with complaints.
• Provide feedback to Regional Leads and IW.
• Attend and manage meetings with Regional Contractors and IW.
• Keeping records.
• Create list of snags and sign off when complete.
• Visiting site before works commence to envisage any problems that could potentially arise and feedback findings to IW Design Engineers.

To be considered for this role you will have:

• At least 4-10 years’ satisfactory post graduate experience in on-site supervision, site engineering of civil engineering works, to include water or wastewater projects.
• A Degree in a related discipline, such as Civil Engineering.
• Capable of writing clear and concise reports, and keeping works records.
• Strong knowledge and experience of Health and Safety procedures and regulations.
• A current and valid SafePass card is essential, Confined Spaces training would be desirable.

You will also have excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to act within a team at all times. With the nature of the role there may be travel involved, so you should be flexible in terms of travel.
