Workshop Assistant / Delivery Driver

We are recruiting a fulltime Workshop Assistant for our client, based in Mallusk and one of the largest Controls Systems Houses in Ireland.  If you have any basic engineering experience, a clean Driving Licence and a ‘Can-do’ attitude then this may be for you.

The primary responsibilities of the role are as follows:

• Punching & preparing sheet metal used in the manufacture of electrical panels
• Using the labelling machine to produce labels for the panels
• Use of guillotine and folding machines
• Using a forklift truck to move items around the workshop
• Using company van to make deliveries of finished products to site
• General House Keeping and tidiness of workshop area, Wrapping & packing of finished control panels,
• Loading/Unloading of delivery vehicles

The successful applicant should possess the following skills & attributes:

• A familiarity with sheet metal work / basic engineering processes would be an advantage.
• A full clean driving license
• A forklift license is desirable
• A team player but the ability to use one’s own initiative when required
• An understanding of standard electrical components would be an advantage
