Project Manager / Contracts Manager

Project Manager with experience on delivery of water and wastewater capital works projects, keen to progress to Contracts Manager and undertake client facing role and delivery of capital projects within water, wastewater, and environmental solutions for pharmaceutical and industrial sectors.

The ideal candidate will be a team player, and have proven experience of the design and construction of Water / Waste Water projects, coupled with a degree qualification in Mechanical or Civil Engineering. With a proven track record of project delivery on large to medium sized water and/or waste water infrastructure projects, they will lead the project team from design stage, through to construction, commissioning, and ultimately handover to operations, liaising with the Client on a day-to-day basis.

Key responsibilities associate with Project Manager / Contracts Manager role

• Liaise with clients from project inception through to final commissioning and handover.
• Management of sub-contractors across varying disciplines.
• Conduct commercial negotiations with key suppliers and sub-contractors, management of the supply chain on multiple projects.
• Prepare and manage programs using MS project and/or Primavera, training and support will be given
• Monitor progress against the program and produce look ahead programs on a regular basis.
• Prepare valuations for submittal to the client on a monthly basis.

You will possess the following qualifications and experience:

• A third level qualification in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical or similar with circa 5 – 10 years industry experience.
• Proven track record in delivering water and wastewater treatment plant design, construction and commissioning.
• Experience with the design, construction and commissioning phase of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and automation equipment.
• Knowledge of FIDIC/NEC4 Conditions of Contracts is beneficial, training and support will be given.
• Strong operational skills and an attention to detail, experience of the design and build process.
• Strong written communication abilities, and the ability to negotiate a strong commercial position for the company are also essential.
