Resident Engineer (Roads/Highways)

As Resident Engineer you will supervise the construction of a new bypass road project in County Limerick, including the administration of the contract, in accordance with the Public Works Contract for Civil Engineering Works Designed by the Employer.

Our Client is one of the leading global Civil Engineering Consultants. They have been awarded a contract on a road bypass construction project in County Limerick to run for approximately 24-26 months. As Resident Engineer you will play a vital role in the Site Supervision and Coordination liaison. To be considered for the role you will have:

• Previous experience on roads/highway projects, with at least 7 years’ industry experience in a similar supervision/inspection capacity.
• Degree in a related discipline, such as Civil Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer, or approaching Chartered Engineer status.
• Previous experience in the administration of construction contracts.
• Strong health and safety awareness related to roads/highways projects.
• Strong technical knowledge and ability to understand design and any changes that may be necessary.
• Bridge and Structures experience would be beneficial.

You will also have excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to act within a team at all times.
