Assistant Resident Engineer (Bridge Engineer)

As Assistant Resident Engineer you will assist in the supervision of Bridge Rehabilitation projects in the North West area. You will have the opportunity to work alongside a dedicated Bridges team with extensive experience in the structural assessment and rehabilitation of existing bridges. Our Client is one of the leading global Civil Engineering Consultants and have enjoyed long term success on the Bridge Maintenance Contract in the North West region.

As Assistant Resident Engineer you will play a vital role in the site supervision and coordination liaison, administering contracts using the Public Works form of contracts. If you have worked in a similar Structural Engineer/Assistant Resident engineer role, and would like to hear more about the project, please apply or get in touch. Experience of masonry structures, and an understanding and identification of failures on masonry structures, would be of particular interest.

To be considered for the role you will have:

• Previous experience on bridge projects, with at least 3 years’ industry experience in the design, repair or construction of relevant structures. Structural inspection experience would be advantageous.
• Degree in a related discipline such as Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Full Driving Licence is essential.
• Experience in record keeping and reporting.
• Knowledge of current H&S regulations and best practices.
• Computer literate and with experience of relevant software (AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office programmes.

You will also have excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to act within a team at all times.
