Senior Site Engineer / Site Engineer – Earthworks – Fermanagh

Unique opportunity for Site Engineer to join a well established Sports Grounds Contractor specialising in all forms of playing pitches, sports grounds, centres of excellence, golf courses. Over 30 years as one of the leading sportsground contractors undertaking construction, refurbishment and maintenance, specialising in drainage, grass pitches and all weather surfaces.

This role will encompass a blend of site and office based duties, pricing, planning, client interface, HSEQ, contract administration and project management. Training and mentoring will be provided in any office based aspects to ensure a successful fit within the team.

As Senior Site Engineer / Site Engineer your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:-

• Undertake surveying and setting out, use of Trimble Total Station.
• In conjunction with the Contracts Manager, plan the work and efficiently organise site operations in order to meet an agreed programme of deadlines.
• Supervise and monitor the site labour force.
• Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to.
• Ensure quality records necessary to meet quality requirements are maintained.
• Undertake the testing and calibration of instruments used.
• Fully interact with other members of the construction and client site team.
• Ensure work is delivered in accordance with the specification.
• Pricing and procurement of materials, arranging delivery to site.
• Measurement and preparation of stage payment claims.
• Contract estimation and pricing of new work.
• Competent in the use of AutoCAD.

Skills & Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Senior Site Engineer / Site Engineer working on Civils earthwork projects, ground improvements, drainage, road construction etc.
• Third level qualification in a relevant discipline such as Civil Engineering.
• Relevant site qualifications will be provided, CSR/SAFEPASS/CSCS Card, Site Safety for Supervisors, First Aid at Work.
