Assistant Resident Engineer – Water / Utilities

Opportunity for an Assistant Resident Engineer role based in Cork and the surrounding areas, reviewing, advising and supervising Sewer Survey and Investigation projects. Due to on-going contract awards, our Global Clients have a requirement for Assistant Resident Engineers to join their team and supervise Wastewater projects throughout Ireland. Successful candidates will be placed on work close to home where possible; however travel will be required – a vehicle will be provided.

To be considered as an Assistant Resident Engineer, you should be able to demonstrate previous experience in either the Design, Construction or Supervision of similar civil, utilities, sewer rehabilitation, drainage upgrades, surveys / investigations, environmental works etc. This role will ideally suit a graduate or someone returning to the industry.

As Assistant Resident Engineer your experience should include:

• At least 2-3 years post graduate experience with industry experience of on-site supervision, construction, surveying or project management on similar Civil / Utilities / Water / Wastewater / Environmental engineering projects.
• A qualification in a related discipline such as Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering.
• Capable of writing clear and concise reports and keeping works records.
• Knowledge and experience of Health and Safety procedures and regulations.
• A current and valid SafePass card is essential, confined spaces training etc can be provided.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of CCTV investigations and sewer rehabilitation works.

You will also have excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to act within a team at all times.
